I believe the only thing VIP about it was we got in a day early before the rest of the Grazie player card members.
Socalgirl and I arrive at 5pm and there was already a reasonably long line in place. Our host met us about 2 minutes after we arrived and kept us company at the event for about 2 hours, and then walked us back to the Palazzo.
The Grazie gift party is set up a bit differently then last year. Now you enter a room with a counter and a handful of employees who take your player's card and ID and then issue you a badge to wear. They hand you a clip board with a form that has the number of points you have to use, and point you out the door where you go around to the Bellini ballroom where the gifts are displayed.
Remember you can click on any photo to enlarge it!
When you see a gift or gift card you want you write it down on your form and keep on adding until you meet or get near your point balance.
At the party for us and I believe for all the future days the show goes on, there was a bar with a nice selection of mixed drinks, wine and beer and there were servers going around with trays of appetizers.
When you are ready to check out you stand in another line, show your ID again and they process your order.
Items such as inexpensive pens and knickknacks seem to start around 3,000 points and of course items such as a car cost millions of points. Yes, there were platinum members there that had millions of points.
More later, in the meantime here are photos of the gifts and party.
The last room where you wait for your name to be called.
I'm really enjoying your Vegas report. We were scheduled to go from Nov. 17 through Nov. 22 but we had to cancel due to an unexpected surgery for my husband. I was curious about what we were missing at the Grazie event. Thanks for your great pictures and description of your trip.
ReplyDeleteHi Fran, so sorry about your husband's unexpected surgery. Hope he recovers quickly!
